Marlene Thomas

Marlene Thomas

Ms. Thomas has enjoyed being involved in Stockton Town Civic functions for many years.  Shortly after marrying Kendall Thomas in June of 1973, she made her home in Stockton.  In 1976 she served as the Town Clerk and Water Master, succeeding Leona Shelton.  This was back when water bills were only $4.00 per month and there were no meters.  After a couple of years as Water Master, she knew just about everyone in Town by name and even got to the family pets by name.  At that time there wasn’t a Town Hall Office, and no routine office business hours.  Marlene is currently volunteering her time and effort serving on the Stockton Planning Commission, and between the Mayor, the Stockton Town Council, and the Planning Commission, has worked diligently to update all the Town ordinances into one publication that all Stockton residents will have access to view on line.  Ms. Thomas is a true believer that it has taken an entire town of good people to make Stockton such a great place to live.
