Town Council

The Town of Stockton will hold its regular Town Council meetings on the second Thursday of each month, unless notified, at the Stockton Town Hall; 18 North Johnson Street, Stockton Utah, meetings will begin at 7:00pm.

Judy Bori

Judy Bori

Ms. Bori was born, raised and graduated from Tooele High School in Tooele.  She moved and lived in Wisconsin for 42 years working in the medical and dental profession as an Office Manager and Dental Assistant; opening a dental staffing agency in 1999.  She sold her company and returned to Utah to be with her family, moving to Stockton, where her father was raised.  In Wisconsin, she served on the Advisory Board for the Milwaukee Area Technical College, giving presentations to graduating classes at Concordia College, Milwaukee Area Technical College and Waukesha County Technical College.  In 2016 she become one of the new members of the Stockton Town Council, a position she enjoys, serving her neighbors, friends, and town residents.  Judy has been a hard worker all of her life, and can be seen outdoors during warm weather landscaping her yard and enjoying the sunshine.

David Durtschi

David Durtschi

Mr. Durtschi was born in Rexburg, Idaho and soon moved to Provo, where he spent the first 21 years of his life.  He served a mission for my church in Canada and on return met and married a young woman from Louisiana.  They moved to Louisiana and lived for 10 years, where he was employed by an airline.  They then moved to Tennessee where he worked for a candy manufacturer as Plant Manager. They lived on a farm and raised their seven children.  After Tennessee they were transferred to South Carolina where he managed a Russell Stover Candy factory for four years.  They then moved to Stockton and he worked at Dugway as a contractor, retiring after 20 years.  He is currently in his third term as Town Councilman, and currently serves on the Tooele County Mosquito Abatement District Council.

Thomas Karjola

Thomas Karjola

Mr. Karjola grew up in Longview, Washington and joined the Navy after high school where he spent six years as an electronics technician.  Afterwards he worked in marine electronics in Seattle and then for an automatic welding company as a technician, working with nuclear power plants.  He met his wife, Megan, while skydiving in Mississippi-together they have three boys.  He and his family moved here with the intention to grow some roots and become an active part of the community.  They now have a hobby farm with a wide variety of animals that keep him busy.  He enjoys woodworking and can build or fix just about anything.  He spends his free time hunting, fishing, hiking, and riding ATVs.

Kendall Thomas

Kendall Thomas

Kendall has enjoyed serving on the Stockton Town Council for the last six years. He is currently the Assistant Director of the Tooele Education Foundation. He relishes and looks forward to volunteering in the County to benefit the homeless, victims of domestic violence, and other service organizations. He is very active and especially loves reading with the kids at various elementary schools. In addition to his busy work and volunteer schedules, he likes to ride 4-wheelers and travel with his family.
